ANIMAL TISSUES
This work constitute the details about major animal tissues and its functions in the body.
Epithelial cells form the body's protective linings and coverings, lining organs, cavities, and outer surfaces, crucial for absorption, secretion, and sensation. Muscular tissue, composed of specialized cells called muscle fibers, enables movement through contraction and relaxation. It includes skeletal muscle for voluntary movement, smooth muscle for involuntary processes like digestion, and cardiac muscle for heart function. Nervous tissue, comprising neurons and glial cells, facilitates rapid communication within the body, transmitting signals through electrical impulses and supporting neural function. Connective tissue binds and supports other tissues and organs, with variations like dense, loose, and adipose types providing structural integrity, cushioning organs, and storing energy in the form of fat cells. Each tissue type plays distinct roles essential for bodily function and overall health.
